Thanks again, and also I shared this fix on the modxcms.com forums, there is a plug-in for that system that uses phpThumb and a user there just came up against the deprecation error.

Great! :) I'm glad I was able to be helpful to a few people. *chuckles* Us early-birds hopping on the latest upgrades... (Hasn't anyone heard, if its not broke, don't fix it? I never go by that. lol) I wonder how long it'll be until there's an official release, with some improvements, new features, and or performance fixes from the developer... Last release was May 28, 2008... I'm actually wondering if its been abandoned, even these forum have become spam-filled, and sorta abandoned... lots of un-answered questions and requests.

Wish I had Mod privelages... I'd clean up the spam bots that signed up and spammed the forums. ;) Oh well. I guess its up to us to fix any small problems that arise for the time being.

Just to say that Quentin's swapping out deprecated functions (cheers) resulted in a Warning: "Unknown modifier" at line 160 of phpThumb.php.

Disable warnings? Fair enough, but in the dodgy line is a call to preg_match, with its featured pattern being delimited by two carets; even though a caret is also contained within the pattern.

So escape the caret, or use different delimeters to avoid the warning.
